Kristin Fischer is set to join CNN as its Space and Defense Correspondent in July 2021. As a Space and Defense Correspondent she covers everything including NASA to the recently formed Space Force as well as commercial space firms and tourism in space. Kristin's parents are both NASA astronauts. Kristin spent her childhood in space and has now worked as a White House reporter for FOX News that covers the Biden and Trump Administrations' positions in space matters. Over the course of this time, she covered the presidential 2020 campaign, two impeachment trials, two efforts to stop the pandemic coronavirus, as well as two different administrations' efforts. Kristin traveled extensively, including both the president and vice president. The reporter even took a top-secret trip to Afghanistan along with Donald Trump. Kristin was a TV local reporter for Grand Junction, Colorado, Little Rock, Arkansas, Washington, D.C., where she earned an Emmy Award for her work as the "one-man-band" reporter before being hired by CBS in 2015.
